Description
The Greyhound Coaching Inn is a public house located on Market Street in Lutterworth. It was built in the early 19th century and has undergone minor alterations, including some in 1988-1989. The building is plastered and features moulded bands over the ground and first floors, along with colossal corner pilaster strips. It has a dentilled cornice and a slate roof with roughcast end stacks. The structure stands three storeys tall and has a regular four-window front, with glazing bar sashes that are shallower on the second floor. The second-floor window from the right is blind. On the ground floor, there is a wide segmental arch that replaces the left-hand window. To the right, there is a long three-storey wing at the rear. The entrance is located within the arch. Inside, there are some minor fittings, including a king-post roof in the front range. The hotel now includes the adjacent house, number 11, which is listed separately.
