Description

Number 21 on Church Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the mid-18th century and was altered in the late 19th century. The building is made of painted brick with brick dressings and has a slate roof. There is a single brick chimney stack. The front features a rendered plinth and a first-floor band. It has two windows on the street front, a glazed door with an overlight, and a canted bay window to the right, all beneath a moulded wooden eaves. To the left, there is a plank passage door. Above, there are two plain sash windows with segment heads. This building is a largely intact 18th-century house, with the 19th-century shopfront being a notable example.
