Description

The Walnuts is a house dating to the 16th century, though it has undergone significant restoration. It is timber framed with brick infill and a Welsh slate roof. The house is two storeys high and displays six bays of unevenly sized square panels of post and truss construction, incorporating some arch bracing and lacking a sill beam. The west elevation features two new two-light casement windows, while two early 20th-century half-timbered gabled dormers are situated above. A central door is positioned on the east elevation, flanked by casement windows, with a tall, narrow gabled dormer placed above. Gable end stacks are a prominent feature.
