Description
Bramley House is a house dating from the late 16th century, which was restored in the mid-20th century. It features a timber-framed structure with painted brick infill and replacement walling, topped by a Welsh slate roof. The house consists of two framed bays aligned from northwest to southeast and has an external 20th-century chimney on the northeast side. It is a single storey with an attic that includes dormers. The framing includes three panels from the sill to the wall-plate, a large swept brace in the lower left corner of the northwest gable end, and large straight braces in some lower corners. The roof structure consists of collar and tie-beam trusses with two struts and a V-strut in the apex.
On the main southwest elevation, all windows are three-light 20th-century casements, with two ground floor windows featuring plank weatherings. A large 20th-century flat-roofed dormer spans almost the full length of the roof and contains two windows. There are attic lights in the gable ends. The main entrance is located on the northeast side elevation and features a 20th-century half-glazed door.
