Description
The building is a former malthouse and hop kilns, dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a hipped Welsh slate roof. The structure has two levels and three bays. The main south elevation includes three ground floor two-light casement windows with cambered heads, along with two first floor two-light casements. To the right, there are two ledged and battened doors, also with cambered heads, and external stairs leading to the upper level at the left end. At the rear, there are three square hop kilns, each topped with pyramidal slate roofs, two of which still have their cowls. Inside, one drying floor remains. This building is part of a prominent roadside group alongside Lower Doddenhill Farmhouse.
