Description
Keythorpe Court is a house that forms the service end of the now divided Keythorpe Hall. It is dated 1843 on the rainwater head, although it may include some earlier architectural details. The building is constructed of well-coursed ironstone with limestone ashlar dressings and features a flat roof. It has three storeys and a basement.
The garden front consists of five bays and includes moulded stone architraves surrounding 12-light sash windows on the main floors. The basement has three bays with 6-light stone cambered headed lights that feature keystones. The attic has 6-light sash windows. Additional architectural details include ashlar sill bands, angle quoins, and a moulded cornice.
The entrance front is narrower, also with five bays, and features 12-light sash windows with voussoirs above. There is a central door with an overlight, which is accessed by steps leading to a balcony over an arched basement colonnade. A sill course is present only at the first floor level, along with a moulded cornice. The garden wall, which adjoins the house to the west, is made of coursed ironstone with ashlar copings.
