Description

This is an early 17th-century house located on the west side of Hallaton High Street. The house is constructed from well-coursed and squared ironstone rubble, and has a new roof. It is a two-story building with a two-unit plan. The left-hand side features a doorway with a chamfered timber lintel. There are two canted bay windows; the left-hand bay is original 17th century with ovolo-moulded mullioned windows, while the right-hand bay is a later addition. A small, single-light ovolo-moulded window at high level, possibly related to the staircase, is located to the right. Four upper two-light casement windows are also present. The building has a gable and axial stack. Group value is present.
