Description

The Old Royal Oak Public House is a building dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, although it may contain earlier elements. It is constructed of brick with a stone tiled roof. The building has a two-unit plan, with a central doorway and shallow, square bay windows featuring splayed brick heads visible in the front wall. The upper floor has two 3-light casement windows with leaded lights. There is an archway leading to a passageway at the rear, to the left, with a round head, springers, and a keystone. Inside, there is a spinebeam. A long rear wing extends from the main building.
