Description

Great Bowden Hall is an early and later 19th-century building. The facade is rendered and features an eaves cornice and a hipped slate roof. The building has an irregular facade with six windows, mostly late 19th-century sashes with some unbarred, and one three-storey canted bay. A portico with columns and a dentil cornice is present. A two-storey wing alongside the road has six windows, one canted bay, and sashes with glazing bars. A segmental carriageway arch has stuccoed long and short voussoirs, with a lion mask on the keystone. The rear facade, facing the canal, is red brick and is punctuated by ten windows, some modern and two barred sashes.
