Description
The Limes is a house dating from the late 18th century, constructed of red brick with a Swithland slate roof and brick end stacks. The central section of the building projects slightly. It features brick bands and dentilled eaves. The house has three storeys with three casements on each floor: a 3-light window, a 2-light window, and another 3-light window, with top lights on the first floor. On the ground floor, there are two small canted bays, each with a central 3-light casement that opens in the middle and has top lights, flanked by 1-light windows. The entrance is marked by a central Adam style doorcase with a narrow bracketed hood, leading to a six-panelled door, where the upper four panels are glazed. At the rear, there is a two-storey wing.
