Description
This building, originally a lock-up and fire engine house, is now used by East Midlands Gas. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of whitewashed brick, featuring a plinth, angle pilaster strips, and moulded brick eaves, topped with a hipped roof made of Welsh slate. The structure is single-storey with a small central projecting section that includes a door flanked by a small barred one-light window on either side. There are additional small barred windows on either side of the building. The left side has carriage doors, another door, and a similar window, while the right side features a door and two blocked windows, with a further small window located at the rear.
