Description

Quorn Court is a late 18th-century house, now subdivided into flats, located on the High Street in Quorn. The house is constructed of red brick with decorative bands, and features a 19th-century stone cornice with modillions and a balustrade, topped by a Welsh slate roof on one wing. Ornamental red brick and stone ridges and projecting stacks are present. The main facade has three storeys and five sash windows; the second floor windows are 3/3 sashes, while the others are 6/6 sashes. All windows are topped with gauged brick lintels. The central section of the building projects slightly, featuring a porch with two Roman Doric columns, pilasters, a flat top with an entablature, and a blocking course. The porch contains a two-leaved, partly glazed door. Extending from the right end is a two-storey wing with five 6/6 sash windows on both floors.
