Description

Tiltyard is a structure dating from around 1500, located in Newtown Linford within Bradgate Park. It consists of retaining walls made of red brick, with some sections of granite and slate rubble stone. The walls form a rectangle around a sunken lawn and include the ruins of an entrance gateway on the east side. These features are situated to the east of the mansion ruins and north of a large garden wall. The site is designated as a scheduled ancient monument.
