Description
No. 10 Loughborough Road is a 16th-century house featuring timber framing with plaster infill. The structure has close-studding with a middle rail and some arch bracing to the wall plate. It consists of five bays and two storeys. There is a central ridge stack located to the left on the first floor, along with one blocked original wood mullioned window. The other windows, two per storey, are paired casements. The central part of the facade shows some brick blocking that may indicate the original position of a doorway, suggesting a lobby entrance plan type. Both gable ends have two three-light wood mullioned windows, and there is a two-light window in the attic. At the northern rear, there is a timber-framed outshut and a 19th-century wing made of rubble and brick, which has two bays.
