Description
The barn at Woodcock Farm, dated 1781, is a Grade II listed building located on the east side of Loughborough Road in Rothley. It is constructed of red brick with a plinth, features dentilled eaves, and has a Swithland slate roof. The gable faces the front to the left. This long former threshing barn stands two storeys high and has a five bay double-purlin tie-beam truss roof with collars. There are double doorways on either side in the center, along with loft doors. At the rear, there are 19th-century brick steps leading up to one of the loft doors, and a stable door with a gauged brick rounded arch. A 20th-century lean-to is added to the front right, above which are large letters reading 'T.B. 1781' made of black bricks.
