Description

This is a house dating from around 1800, located on Main Street in Newtown Linford. The house is constructed of granite and slate rubble stone with red brick dressings, featuring dentilled eaves and a double-span Swithland slate roof. Brick end stacks are positioned on the gables, facing outwards. The front elevation has two storeys with two three-light casement windows on each floor, each with a cambered lintel above. A central doorway has been blocked up. Similar windows are present in the gable end. A 20th-century single-story extension projects at a right angle, containing an entrance door and garages. The rear of the house mirrors the front, also with a central door. A two-story extension projects from the gable end towards the road.
