Description

Two cottages dating from the 18th century, with an addition dating from around 1900. The cottages are constructed of granite and slate rubble stone, rendered and with a thatched roof to the centre, Swithland slate to the right, and slate on the later addition to the left. The gables face the street. There are two ridge stacks and one right-end stack.

The cottages are one-and-a-half and two stories high, featuring casement windows. Number 57, on the right, has a central door, a two-light casement to the left, and a similar eyebrow dormer above. A two-light casement is present on both floors of Number 57. Number 59 has a door with renewed two-light casements on either side, and a 20th-century four-light bow window to the right. A two-light eyebrow dormer sits above this bow window. The addition to the left incorporates a 20th-century four-light bow window and a 20th-century four-light casement above.
