Description

This is a cottage dating from the 17th or 18th century, located on the north-east side of Main Street, Newtown Linford. The cottage is constructed from granite and slate rubble stone, with a thatched roof. There is a rebuilt brick ridge stack positioned behind the centre-left door, and a similar stack at the right end. The cottage has one-and-a-half storeys, featuring casement windows with two eyebrow dormers, each containing three lights. On the ground floor, there's a small, multi-paned window bay to the left, a partly glazed front door, and two three-light casement windows. A single-light casement window is located at the left end, and two similar windows are present at the right end. Inside, the cottage retains original beams and an inglenook.
