Description
Forest House is a house dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of yellow brick with stone dressings and features a hipped slate roof with two ridge stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a double fronted design with a three-bay layout. The central projection is topped with a pediment, and the corners are adorned with brick pilasters. A deep bracketed cornice runs along the top.
On the ground floor, there are French windows and a central double door with six panels, all of which have rectangular fanlights above that include glazing bars. The first floor features six-pane sash windows with bracketed heads and cills. Flanking the entrance are artificial stone urns decorated with lions' heads and swags. There is a later rear extension on the right side that is in keeping with the original design. Additionally, there is a contemporary brick cottage that is single fronted and two storeys high, located at the rear of the left side.
