Description

No. 2 Bath Street is a house, probably built in the early 18th century, with possible earlier elements and exterior details from the 20th century. The facade is rough cast over brick, featuring a plinth, while the side elevation shows exposed brick. The house has a thatched roof and is one and a half storeys tall, with a two or three unit plan and a rear entry. The facade includes renewed 20th-century windows, consisting of a single central light and outer two-light casements. There are two upper casements and a central stained glass single light in eyebrow dormers. The house has axial and right-hand gable stacks, a nogged brick string course, and one blue brick diaper in the gable wall. The roof is very steeply pitched, and the rear wing is made of brick with a thin timber wall-plate.
