Description

Bails Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is built of brick on a cobbled plinth and has a Welsh slate roof. The cottage is two stories tall and features a three-unit plan. On either side of the doorway, there is a three-light horizontally sliding sash window, and to the left, there is an additional two-light window, with the same arrangement of windows on both floors. The entrance has a six-panelled door set in a moulded wood case, with curved consoles that support a flat canopy on clustered shafts. There is a plain brick string course and an eaves cornice, along with gable and axial stacks.
