Description

This is a large house built in the early 19th century, with extensions added to the rear during the later 19th century. The house is constructed of brick with a slate roof. It is three storeys high, including a low attic storey, and has three bays. The central bay features a six-panelled door with an over-light, set within a wooden architrave and topped with a bracketed canopy. The door is raised onto two steps with decorative wrought iron railings. Each floor originally had 16-light sash windows, with 8 lights in the attic. All windows are topped with cambered brick heads and feature sill bands. A wooden eaves cornice with modillions runs around the building. A later 19th-century bay has been added to the left side, with a 12-light sash window on each floor. Gable end stacks are present.
