Description

This is a disused workshop for framework knitting, built in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick, with the left gable rendered and whitewashed. The building has a slate roof and a brick chimney on the left side. It stands two storeys high and features three bays with three-light horizontal sliding sash windows that have glazing bars; the lower windows have segmental heads. Most of the windows are currently covered with corrugated plastic. On the north side, the left bay has a pair of later board doors at the first floor, which are also boarded up, along with a later wooden loading platform in front. The south side includes a later lean-to, and there is a door in the west gable, as well as a small high window in the east gable.
