Description

The ice house, located approximately 30 metres to the north of Normanton, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick and is covered with an earth mound. The structure is currently blocked up and is said to have a domed shape with a soak-away drain at the base. There is a passage leading to the door, which features a segmental brick head.
