Description

The gates to the northeast of Heath End Lodge, located on Heath End Lane in the parish of Calke, were built around 1805 by William Wilkins Snr. This tripartite gateway serves as an entrance to Calke Park. Constructed from sandstone ashlar and wrought iron, the design features a pair of round-arched pedestrian gateways topped with a moulded cornice and stepped moulding. The wrought iron gates include stick rails and latticework pilasters. Positioned between the arches is another pair of gates that also feature stick rails, curved braces, and latticework pilasters.
