Description
Heath End Lodge is a lodge to Calke Park, built around 1805 by William Wilkins Snr. The building is made of rendered brick that is lined to resemble ashlar. It features hipped Welsh slate roofs with a ridge stack and stands two storeys tall. The canted end facing the drive has three glazing bar sash windows on the ground floor, and above are two smaller glazing bar sashes along with a blind opening. There is a porch on the east side with an open round-arched entrance on two sides, complete with impost bands and a matching blind arch at the rear. The entrance has a panelled door. The lower range to the south includes 2-light casements on each floor. This lodge was built for Sir Henry Harpur.
