Description

This is a terrace of nine cottages located on Twyford Road in the parish of Barrow-upon-Trent. The cottages were built in the late 18th century. They are constructed of red brick with a plain tile roof and six brick ridge stacks. A dentil eaves cornice runs along the top of the building.

The south elevation has eleven bays. An off-centre, round-arched passageway allows access through the terrace. The right-hand range features a doorway, two windows, two doorways, two windows, two doorways, two windows, and a doorway, all with doorways and windows having segmental heads. The windows are two-light casements. Above, there are six two-light casements under flat arches. To the left of the passageway is a further window, doorway, two windows, doorway, window and a later 19th-century shop front. Above this section are five two-light windows under flat arches. A short return range to the southwest features a window and door on the ground floor, with a two-light window above.
