Description
Numbers 1, 2, and 3 The Cottages are a row of three cottages built in the late 18th century to early 19th century. They are constructed of red brick with a pantile roof and feature two gable and one ridge red brick stacks. The eaves are adorned with dentil detailing. The cottages are two storeys high and consist of eight bays. The left six bays have a first-floor band, while the right two bays were added in the 19th century.
From left to right, the ground floor includes a single sash window, a doorway with a plank door and an open wood porch with a plain tile gabled roof, a small glazing bar casement, a glazing bar casement, another doorway with a similar door and porch, a single casement, a doorway with a door under a segmental arch and a similar porch, and a single small casement. The first floor features, from left to right, two glazing bar casements, a single small glazing bar casement, two glazing bar casements, a single small glazing bar casement, and a single glazing bar casement.
Attached to the right is a single-storey, two-bay extension made of red brick with a pantile roof, which includes a doorway with a plank door and a single Yorkshire sash window to the right.
