Description
Ticknall Arch is an arch that dates back to 1794, originally built to carry the tramway from the Ticknall lime workings to Ashby. It is constructed from rubble sandstone with brick and sandstone dressings. The arch features a single segmental, almost horseshoe shape, and is lined with brick. It has a coped parapet that ramps up to the center, and the retaining walls curve out slightly on either side.
