Description

Brierfield House is a farmhouse dated 1815, located on Main Street in the parish of Ticknall. The building is constructed of red brick and features a plain tile roof with brick gable stacks. It has a dentil eaves cornice and stands two storeys high. The symmetrical three-bay north elevation includes a central doorway with a wedge lintel, which has a raised and fielded panelled door and a rectangular overlight. There is a 20th-century open timber porch. On either side of the doorway are 3-light casement windows, also under wedge brick lintels. Above, there are two similar windows flanking a 2-light window. A datestone inscribed "ED ID / 1815" is located above the entrance.
