Description

Ankerbold is a farmhouse located on Ankerbold Road in the parish of Tupton, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with gritstone dressings and rusticated quoins. The roof is slate with a stone ridge, and features stone coped gables with moulded kneelers and stone gable end stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays. The central entrance has a doorcase beneath a glazed wooden porch, with double glazed doors in plain surrounds on either side. Above the entrance, there are three glazing bar sashes set in plain surrounds.
