Description
Pear Tree Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in 1677, with some alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed sandstone rubble, featuring gritstone dressings and quoins. The roof is made of 19th-century slate and has overhanging eaves, with rendered gable end stacks. The building has two storeys and two bays, with two three-light recessed and chamfered mullion windows on the ground floor. The central door has been removed, and above it are two 20th-century casement windows set in recessed and chamfered surrounds. The north gable wall includes two recessed and chamfered single light windows below and two similar windows above. A plaque in the gable is inscribed with 'BAM 1677'.
