Description
Henmore Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble with coursed squared rock-faced gritstone at the rear. The building features gritstone dressings and large quoins on the west side. The roof at the rear is slate, while the front has a 20th-century concrete tile roof. There are brick gable end stacks. The cottage has two bays and two storeys, with a double pile plan and a significantly taller rear section from the 19th century.
On the south elevation, there is a central stone porch with painted bargeboards and a flush doorcase that contains a 20th-century door. To the east, there is a sliding sash window, and to the west, a similar window. Above the east window, there is a recessed and chamfered 2-light mullion window with a small pane sash. The west side features a flush window with a chamfered mullion. The east gable wall has a recessed and chamfered mullion window in the gable. At the rear, there is a large 19th-century extension with glazing bar sashes.
