ASHOVER SK3463 CHURCH STREET 1264-0/11/25 (West side) Gatepiers to east of Church of All Saints

GV II

Three gatepiers. Probably C20 re-using C18 stonework. Sandstone ashlar. The middle pier separates the vehicle and pedestrian gateways. All three are of square plan, built with re-used blocks of stone cut from gravestones. Each has a cornice cap of C18 appearance, with a flat top and with a moulding on 3 sides. Listed for Group Value.
