Description

There are two pairs of gatepiers leading to the drive of Number 16, known as Kings Villa, which date from the mid-19th century. These gatepiers are made of ashlar stone and feature horizontal rustication. They have applied pilasters that exhibit entasis, a slight curve that gives them a more elegant appearance. Each gatepier is topped with a cornice and caps that display anthemion reliefs on all four sides.
