Description
Churchside Cottage is a house from the 19th century with 20th-century additions and alterations. It is built from regularly coursed squared gritstone with ashlar dressings, featuring quoins and coped gables at the east end. A brick ridge stack is located at the west end, and the roof is covered with concrete tiles. The building has three storeys and two bays. Originally, there was a central doorway with a flush surround, which has been modified to become a window with a glazing bar sash frame. On either side of the former doorway, there are stacked window openings set within flush stone frames. The ground and first floors have glazing bar sash windows with twelve panes, while the second floor features 2-light six-panel casements. There is a 20th-century extension at the rear.
