Description

The Spinnery is a house that has been converted into a shop, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed gritstone with gritstone dressings and features a slate roof. The building has stone gable end and ridge stacks, along with a bracketed eaves gutter. It stands three storeys tall and was originally double fronted.

On the south elevation, there is an inserted door at the extreme east, which is topped by a 19th-century pointed wooden canopy. The original doorcase, located off-centre, has been filled in with a two-light flush mullion window. On either side of this, there are three-light flush mullion windows. The upper storey features similar windows, continuing the same pattern up to the eaves.
