Description

Kinder Lodge is a public house dated 1778. It is constructed from coursed gritstone rubble with quoins and features painted stone dressings. The building has a slate roof and stone gable end stacks, along with a bracketed eaves gutter. It stands three storeys tall with a double fronted elevation. The south elevation includes a central flush doorcase with large imposts and jambs, leading to a 20th-century door. On either side of the door are three-light flush mullion windows. Above these, there are similar windows, with more of the same design extending to the eaves. Between the eaves windows is a datestone inscribed 'WL 1778'. To the east, there is a recessed two-storey addition with various openings.
