Description

No. 49 on New Mills Road is a terraced house built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed gritstone with painted flush stone dressings and has a slate roof topped with a stone ridge stack. The house has three storeys and a single bay.

On the north elevation, there is a doorcase with a thin flush surround located to the east, featuring a modern door. To the west, there is a three-light flush mullion window. Above this, there is a similar window and an additional two-light window at the eaves. All the windows are fitted with 19th-century sashes or casements.
