Description

40 Old Road is a building with origins in the 18th century. It stands three storeys tall and is constructed from painted small coursed stone, with larger stones used at the corners. The main elevation features one window above another, along with a stone slated penticed extension that includes a window. This elevation also had hoist doors when the building was used as a mill. There is a door at the angle of the building, which has a modern glazed porch. The side elevation has one window with modern glazing bars above a modern rectangular bay. This building is included for its group value with No 42, of which it was formerly a wing.
