Description

Highgate Hall is a house dating to the 17th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed gritstone with large quoins and gritstone dressings, and has a stone slate roof. A large, stepped stack is located on the west elevation, and another on the north side. The west elevation has two bays. A 20th-century glazed porch now covers a former two-light recessed and chamfered window, and a 20th-century glazed door. A 20th-century window sits between the porch and the stack. To the south, a former three-light recessed and chamfered window now features a central square mullion. 20th-century windows are also found in both gable walls. At the rear, a chamfered doorcase with a pointed arched lintel leads to a 20th-century door.
