Description
Top of th'ill Farmhouse and attached barn and stable is a farmhouse built in the late 18th century, with 19th and 20th century additions. The structure is made of coursed millstone grit with tooled ashlar dressings, and features stone and Welsh slate roofs, along with four stone stacks that have watertabling.
The exterior is two storeys high and includes quoins. The front has an asymmetrical arrangement of five windows, with a central single-storey lean-to porch that has two 2-light mullion windows and a doorway on the left side. To the left of the porch are two similar windows, and to the right are two 3-light mullion windows. Above, there are two similar windows to the left and three 2-light mullion windows to the right. A single-storey lean-to addition to the right has a similar 2-light window. All windows are framed with flush ashlar surrounds.
The adjoining barn on the left projects slightly and features a large cart entrance with a segment-arched head, rusticated jambs, and a 20th-century sliding door. To the left of the barn is a blocked doorway with a flush ashlar surround and two ventilation holes. Beyond this is a single-storey lean-to addition with a 20th-century door and a single 2-light window to the right.
The rear elevation has a variety of 20th-century extensions and outbuildings. The interior has not been inspected.
