Description

Little Padfield Farmhouse, now a house, dates from the late 17th century and was altered in the 20th century. It is constructed of roughly-coursed millstone grit with tooled dressings and has a stone slate roof. It features stone stacks with decorative watertabling.

The building is a single-depth range with a catslide roof and an outshut at the rear. The front elevation has a five-window arrangement. A double garage is located to the left, underneath a substantial lintel. The main entrance is to the right, with a 20th-century plank door. 20th-century bow windows have been inserted into the original window openings. Above, four windows originally had three lights, but the mullions have been removed and replaced with wooden casements; a single, tall window is also present.

The rear elevation has a 20th-century dormer window inserted into the catslide roof. The entire rear elevation has been refenestrated with 20th-century windows. The interior is believed to retain original beams.
