Description
The gates and boundary wall to Royle House, built in 1836 and restored in the 20th century, are made of coursed millstone grit rubble. The wall features semicircular coping and curves inward in two sections to connect with two pecked stone gate piers at the entrance to Royle House. Additionally, there is a drinking trough set beneath a round-headed arch. The wall has been repointed in the 20th century. This structure is included for its group value with Royle House.
