Description

Ryecroft is an early 19th-century house, later used as offices and altered in the 20th century. It is constructed of dressed millstone grit with ashlar dressings, a hipped Welsh slate roof, and four external stone stacks.

The exterior features quoins, a moulded cornice, and a first-floor sill band. The street front has a symmetrical three-window range. A central round-headed doorway is set within a projecting ashlar surround featuring pilasters, a moulded arch, a keystone, and a moulded cornice, along with a panelled door and fanlight. This is flanked by single 12-pane glazing bar sashes, with three similar sashes above. The left return has two external stacks with caps and slight offsets, positioned between single 12-pane sashes on each floor. The right return is similar. The rear elevation mirrors the front in terms of window placement, although the ground floor now has 20th-century uPVC casements in the centre and to the right.

Inside, an open-well staircase rises from the rear of the entrance hall.
