Description

This is a gravestone and coffin slab located 10 yards south of Norbury Church Tower, dating from the early 18th century. It is made of sandstone and features a thick tombstone on the west side with a wavy head. The east side is inscribed with the words, "Here lyeth. the body of Elizabeth Bouldon who departed this life the 11th day of September in 172? and in the 16 years of her age." Below this is a long coffin slab that has a raised curved band running along its length. This structure is included for its group value only.
