Description
This grave slab, dating from around 1667, is located approximately 3 metres south of the east end of the south chapel of the Church of All Saints in Cawthorne. It is made of plain sandstone and features a very simple line border along with basic arched decoration at the top. The slab commemorates Elizabeth Hewitt, who died on 4th April 1667, and also Thomas Ostcliffe, Clerk of Cawthorne, who died on 1st February 1762 at the age of 74 years.
