Description

This is a 17th-century house, substantially remodelled in 1737. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone with flush dressings, and has a plain tile roof with a central brick stack. A projecting eaves band runs around the building. The front facade is two bays wide and three storeys high. A doorcase with a lintel dated 'WW and SW 1737' now contains a 19th-century glazing bar sash window. To the east is a two-light flush mullion window, and to the west, a 20th-century door has been inserted into a former window opening, with a small window positioned adjacent to the door. Above, there are two further two-light flush mullion windows, and two similar, but smaller, windows to the eaves. A 19th-century two-storey addition extends to the west, including casement windows and an off-centre door. The interior features exposed chamfered beams with stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops, original flat balusters to the lowest flight of stairs, and a large, stone bracketed fireplace.
