Description
Halter Devil Chapel Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the late 17th century but was largely rebuilt in the late 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared gritstone and red brick, topped with a plain tile roof that features rendered gable stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a symmetrical double fronted east elevation with two bays. The central doorway has a basket arch and a 20th-century glazed door, with windows on either side that also have basket arches and 20th-century top hung casements. There are two similar windows above the doorway. The gritstone side party wall and rear wall are remnants of the original house associated with the building of the Halter Devil Chapel. The farmhouse is listed for its group value only.
