Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, with later additions and alterations. It is constructed of red brick, which is now mainly covered in roughcast, and features a graded slate roof with crow-step gables. The building has a cruciform plan, with early to mid-19th century additions at the rear, which is set back to the right.
The farmhouse is two storeys high with attics and has a toothed eaves cornice, along with similar floor bands on the rear gable. The front facade consists of three bays, with the central bay projecting and containing glazing bar sash windows that have stone wedge lintels and cills. There is a 20th-century French window located in the lower right bay. The central gable features a 20th-century half-glazed door within a 19th-century wooden doorcase that has a flat hood. A prominent central ridge stack is topped with a toothed band and has five diagonal shafts with moulded capping. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
